NFL: Campbell alum Russell among five Broncos released

Associated Press

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Campbell High alum Clifford Russell was among five players released today by the Denver Broncos.

Also released was running back Anthony Alridge, who spent his rookie season last year on injured reserve after hurting his left foot in the preseason. The Broncos also released running backs Alex Haynes and P.J. Pope and tight end Chad Mustard.

Mustard returned to the Broncos in November following an injury to tight end Nate Jackson. It was his 11th pro contract and his sixth stint with the Broncos.
