Local literature event Monday features neighbor island voices

Hawaii Public Radio will feature pieces by neighbor island writers on Monday at a live "Aloha Shorts" taping.
The free event starts at 6:45 p.m. with a performance by guest band Kupaaina, then readings follow at 7 p.m.
Readers will share selections by Stu Hada, Norma Horst, Reuben Tam, Dana Naone Hall, Rodney Morales, Juliet S. Kono, Cate Gable and Michael McPherson.
The radio show, hosted by Cedric Yamanaka, will be aired at a future date.
