Advertiser staff

Two stories from a new collection of stories by local author Lisa Linn Kanae will be read at the March 1 "Aloha Shorts" taping.

The Hawaii Public Radio Show will also have two pieces to honor mothers: "A Small Obligation" by Susan Nunes, read by Paris Priore-Kim; and "Reverie in the Morning" by Mavis Hara, read by Hoku Gilbert.

Kanae, author of "Sista Tongue," is launching a new collection of stories "Islands Linked By Ocean" (Bamboo Ridge Issue No. 93) next month.

House band Hemajang kicks off the evening at 6:45 p.m. and readings begin at 7 p.m.

The event is free, but reservations are recommended. Call 955-8821 for reservations and information.
