If you're reading this, you probably forgot to plan something for Valentine's Day (no judgment here), which probably means you're in a state of panic, which probably means you're considering going with plastic-wrapped flowers from the supermarket and whatever box of chocolates is still on the shelf, and calling it a night.

It's either that or shell out a hundred bucks or so for a dozen long-stemmed roses.

Don't. Just don't.

Anything would be better than that, but these six events are even better than just better — they're actually worth your time.

Whether you like to get busy vampire-style (TMI, right?), or whether jazz and a good meal is more your speed, there's a party for every twosome looking to do the day of love right.

Celebrate Valentine's Day weekend at this two-day music celebration, featuring DJs Richard Vission, Mars, G-Spot, Ikon, DJ Shortkut and more. Friday's event takes place on Maui, and Saturday's party unfolds at Pipeline Cafe on multiple stages. Vission, a Grammy-nominated remixer/producer from Los Angeles, is the most noteworthy of the lineup. He's known for his remixes of TImbaland, Prince, Radiohead and David Bowie.

KENNY RANKIN IN CONCERT

This pop and jazz crooner, known for his romantic ballads, will definitely put you in the mood for love. With favorites like, "You Are So Beautiful," "Penny Lane," "On And On" and "With A Little Help From My Friends," the singer-songwriter-guitarist has had a remarkable recording career that spans three decades.

CAMERA OBSCURA PRESENTS THE VAMPIRES BALL

Camera Obscura celebrates love and passion on V-Day in the Green Room and the Opium Den at Indigo. Free appetizers, drink specials, prizes, giveaways and DJs Nocturna, Modboy, Du Nord and slant spinning.

'DAMN I'M SEXY'

It's a fun Valentine's Day party for couples after their romantic dinners. But singles are also welcome at this thirtyninehotel bash, hosted by Planned Parenthood Hawaii's Young and Fun group. Tickets are $10 a person, but all proceeds go to the age-appropriate sex education for high school students program. So what's planned for the event? Sexy outfit contests and $5 drink specials. It'll be a cool way to cap the night.

GINAI RETURNS TO CHAI'S

Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning jazz and R&B singer Ginai, accompanied by Pierre Grill, will perform two Valentine's Day shows at Chai's Island Bistro. The sultry singer, known for her solo album, "Jazz Island," regularly performs with Grill, who plays the piano, trumpet, trombone and bass at Chinatown's The Dragon Upstairs. The duo will be the featured entertainment for Chai's special Valentine's Day dinner.
