Skiing: Finland's Olli wins ski jumping World Cup event

OBERSTDORF, Germany — Harri Olli of Finland had the longest jump of the day and won his first ski jumping World Cup event today.

Olli soared 225.5 meters in the first heat and followed with a jump of 216 meters to collect a winning total of 435.8 points.

Anders Jacobsen of Norway had jumps of 218 meters and 212.5 meters for 428.6 points in second place. Teammate Johan Evensen had the second longest jump of the day at 223.5 meters to add to the 211.5-meter jump in the first.

Simon Ammann of Switzerland was fourth, while Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria had his winning streak stopped at six when he finished eighth.
