A motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital in critical condition last night following an accident on Pali Highway.

The accident occurred on the hairpin curve just past the tunnel in the Pali's Kailua-bound lanes, police said.

An investigation was under way and the Kailua-bound lanes of the Pali were closed, police said.

Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Robert Main said the accident was reported at 8:19 p.m.
