Top-ranked Farrington girls win, 77-66

Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo scored 16 points to lead three teammates in double figures as top-ranked Farrington defeated 'Aiea, 77-66, last night in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red Tournament game at Moanalua's gym.

Sofia Folaumahina added 14 points, Natalie Mata 12 and Kirsten Liana 10 for the Governors, who improved to 14-1.

Natasha Helsham scored 19 points, Carol Sio added 13 and Emily Tausaga 10 for Na Ali'i, which fell to 11-4.

The tournament continues Tuesday with Farrington playing Kailua. The winner faces Roosevelt on Thursday.

All four teams, including Moanalua and Kalani, have earned state tournament berths.
