Maui to add names to War Memorial Honor Roll

Advertiser Staff

WAILUKU, Maui — To ensure the accuracy of names being added to the list of individuals who died in the Gulf War, the public is asked to provide any corrections that may need to be made before the names are engraved in granite on the Maui War Memorial Honor Roll.

Currently, the list includes the following servicemen: Kelly Martin L. Bolor, Jay S. Cajimat, Eugene D. M. Kanakaole and Christopher P. Sweet.

Anyone with information on the names should inform Mayor Charmaine Tavares' office before Feb. 27 by calling Stan Zitnik at 270-7855; from Molokai, dial (800) 272-0117; from Lanai, call (800) 272-0125.

A ceremony honoring the military personnel is being planned by the county, the Maui Veterans Council, the West Maui Veterans Association and other veterans associations for March 13, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Gym.
