Meeting in Waianae to discuss new Quest program

Advertiser Staff

The Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center will hold a public town meeting tomorrow evening to address concerns surrounding the new Quest Expanded Access (QExA) plan.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.at the Health Center's Dining Pavilion, at 86-260 Farrington Highway in Wai'anae.

Medicaid Quest Expanded Access (QExA) program went into effect on February 1, and the Health Center is one of two O'ahu community health centers that did not sign on.

The Health Center's management team and staff will be at the meeting to answer patient questions and discuss why the Health Center has been reluctant to sign on as a QExA provider.

If the Center's concerns with the state over QExA are not resolved, it could be financially devastating to the facility and impact more than 2,000 patients, Health Center officials have stated.
