NASA images to be unveiled Friday

Advertiser Staff

Mural sized images from NASA will be unveiled Friday at Windward Community College's Lanihuli Observatory.

"Nasa's Great Observatories at Lanihuli Observatory" allows viewers to see giant clouds where stars are born, black holes, exploded stars, as well as just stunning images of space.

The images include one wall sized mural with three full-color images of the Messier 101 spiral galaxy and a 3-foot by 3-foot composite image of views from the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory.

The free event starts at 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
