Green House offers 'graywater,' 2 other workshops

The Green House in Pauoa Valley is offering three hands-on workshops for Feb. 28:

-- Garbage into Gold: Backyard Composting; Evelyn Giddings, longtime organic gardener, on how to build and harvest a compost pile; 10 a.m.-noon; $15 .

-- Here's to Your Health: Laura Weiss will demonstrate how to grow an easy backyard, lanai, or windowsill herbal "pharmacy" garden. Also take home an informational and instructional pamphlet, plant cuttings and seeds; 1:30 – 3 p.m.; $15

-- Graywater Harvesting: Jeremai Cann will show ways to create your own "graywater" catchment system for water drained from baths, showers, washing machines, and sinks for irrigation, etc.; 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.; $15,
