KCC campus cafeteria adopts biodegradable dinnerware

Advertiser staff

Styrofoam and non-biodegradable plates, bowls and cups will no longer be used in the campus cafeteria at Kapiolani Community College, according to the school's Culinary Department and two campus organizations, Slow Food KCC and the Sustainability Club.

In their place, the cafeteria will now use products that can be turned into compost.

The cafeteria joins two other campus eateries — 220 Grille and Kulia Grill — in using only biodegradeable products.
