WAI'ANAE
Health center to conduct public town meeting

The Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center will hold a public town meeting tonight to address concerns surrounding the new QUEST Expanded Access (QExA) plan.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the health center's Dining Pavilion, at 86-260 Farrington Highway in Wai'anae.

Medicaid QUEST Expanded Access program went into effect on Feb. 1, and the health center is one of two O'ahu community health centers that did not sign on.

The health center's management team and staff will be at the meeting to answer patient questions and discuss why the health center has been reluctant to sign on as a QExA provider.

If the center's concerns with the state over QExA are not resolved, it could be financially devastating to the facility and affect more than 2,000 patients, health center officials have stated.
