A Mass of Thanksgiving has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace, the same day Pope Benedict XVI will hold a consistory at which he is expected to announce the date for the canonization of Blessed Father Damien.

Bishop Larry Silva will be in Rome for the consistory, and plans to do preparatory work for the canonization.

Another Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated by the Rev. Marc Alexander at 9 a.m. Sunday in Kalaupapa for the residents.
