Kauai's Salt Pond Beach Park closed because of jellyfish

Kauai Ocean Safety Bureau officials today closed Salt Pond Beach Park in Hanapepe due to a large number of box jellyfish in the area.

More than 400 box jellyfish have been sighted.

The county said other guarded beaches remain open at Anahola, Hanalei, Kealia, Kekaha, Lydgate and Poipu.
