Kanye West, already a musical success, says he's putting music aside for a higher artistic endeavor: men's fashion.

"There's nothing more to be said about music," he tells Details. "I'm the (expletive) end-all, be-all of music."

"We talked about music for God knows how long! Now let's talk about how my (expletive) sweater didn't come back right from Korea. That's what's interesting me."

Asked about his artistic prowess, West gets Freudian: "I think it comes from, like, having a sexual addiction at a really young age," adding that he taps into his sex drive for his "work ethic."

POLANSKI MAY GO FREE IF HE GIVES UP

LOS ANGELES — A judge refused to dismiss a sex case against film director Roman Polanski because he's a fugitive, but says that if Polanski returns he would consider dismissal.

Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza said yesterday that after watching a documentary on the case, he agrees there was misconduct by the now-deceased judge who arranged a plea bargain but reneged.

Polanski pleaded guilty in 1977 to unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl but fled to France after the judge threatened him with more prison time than agreed on.

BRISTOL PALIN: NO REGRETS ON BABY

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter, an unwed mother, says teens should avoid having sex.

However, Bristol Palin acknowledges that abstinence is "not realistic at all."

She spoke during a two-part interview that aired Monday and yesterday on Fox News Channel's "On the Record."

Her pregnancy had been revealed just days after her mother was named John McCain's running mate on the Republican presidential ticket. Bristol Palin gave birth Dec. 27 to a boy named Tripp.

Palin said her son brings her so much joy that she doesn't regret having him at all. She's engaged to the baby's father, Levi Johnston.

FOR CONAN, IT'S MORE THAN A JOB

Conan O'Brien, whose late-night show will have its last go-round Friday after 16 years and 2,725 episodes tells USA Today it's hard to get his head around it all.

"I'm a sentimental person who's trying very hard to be a tough, cynical person," he says. It's all "a little too big to contemplate. This show has been more than a job for me — I met my wife on a remote, and we have two kids. I got my dog through this show."

O'Brien is moving up to the big chair at "The Tonight Show."

SIENNA MILLER TO STAR ON BROADWAY

NEW YORK — The Roundabout Theatre Company says Sienna Miller will open Oct. 22 in "After Miss Julie," an update of a Strindberg classic about class, sex and power. The three-character play, reset in 1945, will star the 27-year-old in the title role, as a wealthy young woman involved with a family manservant.
