Surf: 5 to 8 feet expected on North Shore today

Advertiser Staff

Surf is on the way up and is expected to build to 5 to 8 feet today along Oahu's North Shore, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere on Oahu, the surf is also coming up along east-facing shores, where surf of 3 to 5 feet is likely today, and west-facing shores, where 3 to 5 feet is expected.

Surf of 1-3 feet is forecast for south-facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, Feb. 24: A series of small northwest swells is expected through Sunday with a bit larger northwest swell expected Monday.

A north-northeast swell will likely bring surf to advisory levels along east-facing shores Friday or Saturday and then linger into early next week.
