No. 9 Kamehameha girls topple No. 7 MPI, 41-38

Pua Furtado scored 19 points to lead No. 9 Kamehameha to a 41-38 victory over No. 7 Mid-Pacific last night in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I tournament game at MPI gym.

Kamehameha took a 15-7 lead after one quarter and led 20-15 at intermission.

Mid-Pacific rallied in the third quarter to take a 31-29 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Warriors outscored the Owls, 12-7 the rest of the way.

Johnelle Kapua scored 19 points to lead Mid-Pacific.
