LIHUE — The state Department of Transportation advises Kauai motorists of lane

closures on Kaumualii Highway traffic between Halewili Road and Wahiawa Bridge

beginning today and continuing Monday, Feb. 23, through Friday,

Feb. 27, from 8:30 a.m., to 3:30 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.

During construction hours, all westbound traffic will be detoured through Halewili Road

(Route 540).

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the detour area and to allow

for extra travel time.
