The Kailua-bound tunnel on Pali Highway will be closed for cleaning from 7 p.m. today to 7 a.m. tomorrow.

The project will require closing the Kailua-bound road between Waokanaka Street in Nu'uanu and Kamehameha Highway at Castle Junction.

Kailua-bound motorist must use an alternate route such as Likelike Highway, H-3 Freeway or travel through Waimanalo.

Only emergency vehicles and city buses will be allowed through the closure.
