Amanda Tauali'i hit a grand slam and Courtney Baughman pitched a complete game as the University of Hawai'i softball team defeated No. 23 Ohio State, 4-2, today in the Cathedral City Classic at Cathedral City, Calif.

Baughman, who has all of the wins for the Rainbow Wahine (3-10) this season, allowed two runs and four hits in the bottom of the first inning, then shut out the Buckeyes (10-2) the rest of the way on four more hits.

Tauali'i's grand slam, her third homer on the road trip, came with one out in the fifth against Kim Reeder, the reigning national player of the week. Reeder took the loss, allowing six hits while striking out 12.

Tanisha Milca batted 2 for 3 for UH.
