The Diamond Head Theatre curtains rise Wednesday for an 'Iolani School student production of "Pippin," Stephen Schwartz's musical loosely based on the life of Emperor Charlemagne's hunchbacked son.

Accompanied by an eight-piece orchestra, 'Iolani student actors lead Pippin through a musical journey of self-discovery. Admission is $5 for the 5 p.m. Wednesday performance and $5 to $25 for 7 p.m. performances Thursday through Sunday.

Tickets are available at 'Iolani's performing arts department or can be charged by phone for an added $2 fee. Call 943-2244 for information or buy tickets.
