Anti-abuse event set for April 29

The 10th Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii Conference will be held April 29 at the Ala Moana Hotel, and participants who register before Feb. 28 can get a discounted price of $75.

About 350 people from around the Islands who work with children and families will attend, including representatives from Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii, Hawaii Children's Trust Fund, HMSA Foundation and The Institute For Family Enrichment.

PACIFIC FORUM DINNER TUESDAY

Pacific Forum CSIS will kick off its $1 million fund drive on Tuesday with its Board of Governors' dinner featuring its board chairman, Joseph S. Nye Jr. Nye will speak on the Obama administration's foreign relations priorities relating to Asia Pacific.

The dinner is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. in the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel. It marks the formal start of a $1 million drive that will be matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous businessman.
