SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio forward Tim Duncan missed the Spurs' game against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday with a sore right knee.

The Spurs provided no other details in making the announcement shortly before the game. It is the first game Duncan has missed because of injury this season.

Duncan's injury left the Spurs without two of their top three scorers. Manu Ginobili is out with a stress reaction in his right ankle and is expected to miss another few weeks.
