Community recycling at Campbell on Saturday

The latest Aloha 'Aina Earth Day Recycling Community Clean-Up Day takes place at the Campbell High School parking lot on North Road from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Area residents are invited to drop off the listed items: scrap metal, newspaper, cardboard, telephone books, magazines, beverage containers, plastic bags and hangers, old tires, athletic shoes, green waste, batteries, cellular phones, printer cartridges, computers (one per car only), cooking oil, used eyeglasses and hearing aids, and re-usable household items.

Paints, hazardous fluids, microwave ovens, televisions and gas tanks will not be accepted.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Campbell High School.
