A charity garage sale in Hawaii Kai on Saturday is aimed at raising money for food, medicine, veterinarian bills and supplies for abandoned and abused animals.

The Hawaii Animal Sanctuary sale takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 280 Kipukai Place at Queen's Gate II in Hawaii Kai.

If you want to bring something, rather than buy, the sanctuary needs a washing machine and dryer, cat and dog canned food and treats, dish soap, bleach, detergent, sponges, trash bags and a carpenter.
