• Good lessons/bad lessons: Friends don't let friends watch "Trek."

• Violence: A couple of brawls.

• Language: Quite coarse.

• Sex: Not quite, as befits the subject.

• Drugs: Substances are abused.

• Parents' advisory: This will play as a period piece to anybody under the age of 14, a good cut-off age for who should see it and who shouldn't.

"THE VELVETEEN RABBIT"

• Rating: G.

• What it's about: A lonely, motherless boy finds comfort in a stuffed rabbit toy who helps him grieve and grow up.

• Violence: An illness and an intense animated fire sequence.

• Language: Disney clean.

• Sex: None.

• Drugs: None.

• Parents' advisory: This sweet little film is for younger children, 8 and younger.
