Stanford sweeps past Warriors in volleyball

Spencer McLachlin had 15 kills and Erik Shoji had 23 digs to lead Stanford to a 30-27, 30-21, 30-26 victory over Hawai'i in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Stanford is 11-7 and 7-6 in the MPSF. UH is 3-10 and 2-8.

Steven Grgas led the Warriors with 10 kills and five blocks. Sean Carney, Gus Tuaniga and Joshua Walker each added nine kills.

McLachlin and Shoji are Punahou graduates. Evan Romero had 10 kills and Brad Lawson, an 'Iolani alum, added nine kills.
