Pepperdine beats UH in women's basketball, 65-52

Pepperdine took advantage of 33 University of Hawaii turnovers in pulling away for a 65-52 victory in a women's basketball game today at Stan Sheriff Center.

The Waves led 31-27 at halftime but UH could not overcome its turnovers as Pepperdine took 79 field-goal attempts to UH's 35. UH also was outrebounded 45-37.

Breanna Arbuckle led UH with nine points.

Taylor Smith, a former Kalaheo High player, scored 18 for Pepperdine.

Pepperdine is 7-6 and UH is 3-9.
