Man wanted for robbing Mapunapuna bank

Police are seeking the public's help in locating and identifying a man wanted for the robbery of the Central Pacific Bank Mapunapuna branch at 9:45 this morning.

The man is between 5 feet 8 5-10 and weighs 160 to 180 pounds, police said. He is in his mid-30s and was wearing a dark blue short-sleeve T-shirt and dark blue sweatpants with pockets.

The man entered the bank at 960 Mapunapuna Street and handed the teller a note that said he was armed and wanted money.

The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money and he fled south on Mapunapuna Street. No weapon was seen, police said.

Anyone with information may call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.

CrimeStoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of this man. People should not approach this person and should consider him armed and dangerous.
