'Spirituality' key to presentation

Unity Church of Hawaii is hosting an "Integral Spirituality" presentation with Bruce Sanguin at 6 p.m. on Monday at the church at, 3608 Diamond Head Circle.

It's a new approach to spirituality that proposes a theory of everything espoused by Ken Wilber. The session is free, but donations will be accepted. Afterward will be a Q&A.

NEW MEETING SITE FOR OPEN TABLE

The Interfaith Open Table celebrates its first 2009 gathering in a new venue, Harris United Methodist Church at 20 S. Vineyard Blvd.

The group meets at 7 a.m. in the Miyama Hall, the general meeting hall, the first Wednesday of the month. Coffee and pastries are provided.

The topic will be "Interfaith Marriage and Spiritual Care" by Melvin Hayase, a counselor and interim administrator of the Counseling and Spiritual Care Center of Hawaii.

ORGANIST SWANN IN FREE CONCERT

Organist Frederick Swann will perform in a free concert at 7 p.m. on Jan. 16 at Central Union Church, 1660 S. Beretania St.

Swann is organist emeritus of the Crystal Cathedral and the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. He was part of the music ministry of the famed Riverside Church in New York City where he worked with Virgil Fox.

In 1982, Swann became the organist and music director at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif.

He will perform works by Franck, Schumann, and Simonds, as well as Bach's Fantasia and Fugue in g minor, Rheinberger's Introduction and Passacliglia and the organ Finale from Widor's Symphony No. 4.
