'Iolani girls edge Kamehameha, 37-35

Kylie Maeda made two free throws with 25 seconds left in overtime, lifting the host 'Iolani Raiders to a 37-35 victory over the Kamehameha Warriors in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I game last night at 'Iolani's gym.

Maeda's free throws put the Raiders ahead, 37-34. Kamehameha's Pomaikai Kalakau made one free throw for the final margin.

Tami Konishi hit five 3-pointers en route to 19 points — 17 in the first half — for the Raiders (1-0), who led 26-20 after three quarters.

Alexis Furtado, Makana Borden and Kylie Roy each scored six points for the Warriors, who forced overtime by outscoring the Raiders, 11-5, in the fourth quarter.
