UH volleyball: Free admission for students for entire season

University of Hawaii students will receive free admission to all 2009 men's volleyball matches.

Students must show their valid UH identification card at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office.

Also, lower-level tickets have been reduced from $14 to $11, upper-level adult tickets from $11 to $8, and upper-level senior citizen from $9 to $7. Upper-level youth tickets (high school and under) are just $3.

UH opens its season Thursday in the 15th Outrigger Hotels Volleyball Invitational at Stan Sheriff.

The tournament, which will be played through Saturday, features defending national champion Penn State, USC, Ohio State, and Hawai`i.

On Thursday, USC plays Penn State at 4 p.m. with UH playing Ohio State at 7.

UH then plays USC Friday and Penn State Saturday.

Outrigger Hotels is giving out 1,000 hand fans before each UH match.
