KALIHI
Digital TV presentation at Liliha Public Library

Liliha Public Library is scheduled to host "The Digital TVConnection," a free presentation by the Federal Communications Commission, at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Meeting Room.

The library is closed for renovation but the Meeting Room will be open for this special program.

Hawai'i will be the first state to switch to High Definition Television, at noon Jan. 15. Afterward, full-power commercial TV stations will broadcast only in digital.

If you have an analog-only TV with a roof-top antenna or "rabbit ears," you will not be able to watch most TV stations after Jan. 15 without a converter box.

An FCC representative will conduct a presentation on how to connect a DTV converter box to your TV set. This program will include a question-and-answer session.

Liliha Public Library is at 1515 Liliha St.
