AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank has hired two senior vice presidents, Allen Kubota and Heather Schwarm.

Kubota is director of corporate real estate and strategic sourcing, and Schwarm is director of financial planning and analysis.

KING & NEEL

Wesley Uemoto has been named president of King & Neel Inc. He will continue to handle insurance, risk management and bonding programs for contractor clients and, in addition, will be responsible for the overall operations of the company.

SHERATON KEAUHOU BAY RESORT & SPA

Paul Matsumoto has been appointed director of food and beverage of Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa. He will direct the daily operations of the resort's restaurants as well as room service, banquets, catering and special events.

Matsumoto was previously restaurant manager at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and general manager of Alan Wong's Pineapple Room. Also, Courtney Cox has been appointed leisure sales manager.

HAWAII SELF STORAGE

Hawaii Self Storage has promoted Foster "Mike" Afalava to field supervisor.

HAWAII SOLAR ENERGY ASSOCIATION

Mark Duda, Suntech Hawaii's vice president of finance, has been selected as the president of the Hawaii Solar Energy Association, Hawai'i's oldest solar industry group.
