Surf: Huge northwest swell due in late Tuesday

Advertiser Staff

Surf along most shores of Oahu will continue to decline today, but a "humongous" northwest swell is expected to arrive Tuesday night and peak on Wednesday at very high levels, the National Weather Service said.

Meanwhile, surf along the north-facing shores of Oahu is expected to drop today to heights of 4-6 feet.

Surf along west- and east-facing shores is also on the way down, and is expected to be 2 to 4 feet today, the National Weather Service said

Surf along south-facing shores will be 2 feet or less through today.

A new advisory level northwest swell is expected to arrive on Sunday, peak early Monday, then slowly lower through Tuesday before the huge new swell arrives, forecasters said.
