Night and daytime road work on Kamehameha Highway will affect traffic through Wahiawa beginning Sunday.

There will be alternating single-lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between the H-2 Freeway overpass and the Karsten Thot Bridge from Sunday through next Friday.

The state will be completing lane striping.

During the day, the state will close the north-bound lane on Kamehameha Highway between Kilani Avenue and Karsten Thot Bridge from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Monday through next Friday. The south-bound lane will be contraflowed. Crews will be working on slope stabilization.

Traffic originating from the North Shore/Whitmore Village direction will be redirected from the highway to Kamananui Road and then Wilikina Drive to Wahiawa town.
