WAIKIKI
Martin Luther King Day features parade, rally

The 21st annual Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition Parade will start at Ala Moana Park at 9 a.m. Jan. 19, and continue through Waikiki to the Kapi'olani Park bandstand.

A unity rally will follow in the park, at about 11 a.m.

The celebration in the park will include vendors selling African wear, picture oils and incense, health items and T-shirts.

Last year, more than 50 units and about 1,000 participants marched or rode in the parade. An additional 3,000 people attended the post-parade celebration.
