Rains are still expected Saturday night on O'ahu and showers and thunderstorms by Sunday, although flooding is not expected, the National Weather Service said Saturday afternoon.

"We've got a frontal passage coming through for the next few days," said lead forecaster Jeff Powell. "There will be bouts of brief heavy showers and thunderstorms associated with this. At this time we don't think there will be significant flooding."

Rains should continue through Monday, but are expected to fade by Tuesday, he said. Rains could return by the end of the week, he said.
