A 35- to 40-foot sailboat ran aground near the Rock Pile surf break off Ala Moana today with six people on board.

All six got to shore safely with the help of lifeguards, though two suffered minor injuries.

The incident happened just after noon.

Four men and two women were aboard the boat, which was listing about 40 degrees after running aground.
