KAUPO
Pi'ilani Highway stretch now cleared of debris

A section of Pi'ilani Highway in the Kaupo area has reopened after county public works crews cleared debris left by recent heavy rains.

The 9-mile stretch of highway was closed for two weeks because of mud and debris and damage to the road. County officials warned that road conditions remain muddy and that repair work on retaining walls is continuing.

Previously scheduled work on Paihi Bridge is scheduled to start today, with the bridge closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Friday.
