The state's largest job fair opened this morning at the Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall, attracting thousands of people seeking work.

The Job Quest fair runs until 3 p.m. today. About 120 employers including the U.S. Census Bureau, Hilton Grand Vacations, Bank of Hawaii and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are taking applications.

The fair is expected to attract more than 4,500 job seekers because of job losses in Hawai'i's sluggish economy.

The Job Quest Job Fair is held each January, May and September, and is sponsored by Oahu WorkLinks, ALTRES Staffing and Success Advertising.
