Power interruptions possible on Big Island, HELCO says

Advertiser Staff

Increased winds are affecting electricity on parts of the Big Island, Hawaii Electric Light Co. said this afternoon in a news release.

HELCO cautioned that power interruptions and voltage disturbances are possible as long as the windy conditions persist. The company recommends that customers unplug sensitive equipment and stay clear of any downed or low wires.

To report power problems, call HELCO's Trouble Desk at 808-969-6666.
