Boys & Girls Club facilities to accommodate schoolchildren

All Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii clubhouses on O'ahu and Kaua'i will open early Friday morning to accommodate children who do not have school due to the forecast for severe weather.

The eight facilities will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

The clubhouses will be open to children ages 7 through 17.

Non-members will be required to register as Boys & Girls Club members at the site. The fee is $1 per year. The child's parent or guardian must accompany the child and register in person.

The clubhouses will be offering a variety of activities, including sports and games, reading, arts and crafts and computer activities.

  • Charles C. Spalding Clubhouse, 1704 Waiola St.

  • Leeward Clubhouse, 85-165 Plantation Road

  • Windward Clubhouse, 145 Kainalu Drive

  • Hale Pono 'Ewa Beach Clubhouse, 91-884 Fort Weaver Road, Suite A

  • Kauhale Nani, 310 Cane St.

    The Kaua'i clubhouses are at 4695 Malihuna Road in Kapa'a and 4540 Ola Road in Waimea.
