NFL: Cold, chance of snow for AFC championship game

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH — Temperatures in the mid-20s and a chance of snow flurries are predicted for Sunday night's Ravens-Steelers AFC championship game, and that's a bit of an improvement.

The conditions would represent a warm-up for Pittsburgh, where the official high temperature Friday was 7 and the overnight low was minus-9, according to the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, temperatures struggled to get out of the low teens.

The wind chill is expected to drop into the teens by the end of the game. The forecast is about the same as that for the Chargers-Steelers divisional game the week before, when snow dusted the field early in Pittsburgh's 35-24 victory.
