If cold fronts and winter showers have you down, let A Band Called Clear Sky's blend of pop, jazz and funk perk you up tonight.

The band — Roshan and Shivani Kumar with Chuck James, drums, and Glenn Collen, conga and bongo — has been around for 20 years, but is taking the stage at Hawaii Public Radio's Atherton Studio for the first time tonight to benefit the Hawaii Foodbank.

The concert is the first of two fundraisers aimed at feeding Hawai'i's hungry. Next Saturday, the Atherton will present jazz with Rachel Gonzales, vocals; Les Peetz, piano; Dean Taba, bass; and Stacey Tangonan, drums.

Tickets are $20 each and attendees are encouraged to drop off nonperishable food donations at the door.

Both concerts start at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call 955-8821 or visit www.hawaiitheatre.com.
