NHL: Crosby back in Penguins' lineup

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby was back in the lineup when the Pittsburgh Penguins played host to the New York Rangers today.

The Penguins' star center was injured late in a loss to the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night, apparently hurting his left knee. He missed Friday's game against the Anaheim Ducks Friday.

Crosby has 59 points in 45 games — second in the NHL scoring behind teammate Evgeni Malkin.

He has missed 35 games over the course of his four-year career, notably 29 before leading the Penguins to the Stanley Cup final last season.

Pittsburgh had lost eight of 10 before defeating the Ducks on Friday, and were ninth in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
