Angry panda artist giving live art performance at Contemporary Museum

Advertiser Staff

Aaron "Angry Woebot" Martin will paint a new mural on the exterior wall of The Contemporary Café at The Contemporary Museum beginning tomorrow and through Saturday.

From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. he'll give a "live art performance."

Born in 1977 and raised on O'ahu and in Nevada and California, Martin usually works in his Kahalu'u studio, but is bringing his paint brushes and spray cans for the event. He has been recently touring the nation with his Pocket Full of Monsters crew of artists. He's known for his gnarly pandas, which have taken him cross-country for solo exhibitions and artist appearances. Spike TV commissioned him to paint their offices and he did work on film director Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob" comics.
