High surf advisory in effect from Niihau to Maui

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for the north- and west-facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, and Oahu and north-facing shores of Molokai and Maui.
Surf along the north- and west-facing shores of Niihau, Kauai and Oahu and the north-facing shores of Molokai and Maui is expected to rise to 12 to 16 feet this afternoon.
Surf along the west-facing shores on Oahu is expected to rise to 6 to 12 feet this afternoon.
The high surf advisory will remain in effect until noon Sunday.
