Kamehameha's Wolfe heads Select All-State cheer team

Six Radford High and five Kamehameha Schools cheerleaders were named to the first team of the Hawaii Select All-State Cheer team.

Kamehameha's Savannah Wolfe, who was named All-State Player of the Year, received the Most Valuable Player award and $500 from Cheer808 Inc., the sponsors of the event.

Cheerleaders on the first team, second team and honorable mention were honored at an awards ceremony Jan. 11.

Athletes were judged in a variety of categories by representatives from high schools, universities, such as Hawai'i Pacific University Cheer, and judging associations.
